Exciting Collaboration Between MDKNITL and Royal College Canada International (RCCI)
On Monday, January 13, 2025, we were thrilled to welcome a distinguished delegation from the Royal College Canada International (RCCI). This esteemed group was led by Tai Telesco, Vice Director of Development & Advancement at RCCI, alongside Associate Professor Alan Chaput, M.D., Vice Dean of the Undergraduate Medical Program at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa, at our MDKMITL building.
MDKMITL is extremely proud to have been the first Thai medical program to engage in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in September 2024 between MDKMITL and RCCI. We are always paving the way toward international excellence in all that we do. This collaboration sought to explore the development of a Residency Program for MDKMITL, marking a significant step towards enhancing our medical education initiatives.
The visit from RCCI and the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Medicine represented the beginning of a vital exchange between our institutions. Led by Professor Anan Srikiatkhachorn, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at KMITL, along with other notable contributors, including Associate Professor Prasert Trivijitsilp, M.D., Professor Thanyaphong Na Nakorn, M.D., Ph.D., Anawat Sermswan, M.D., Associate Dean for Innovation and Research, Thipawan Ruengrit, M.D., Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, and Sranya Phaisawang, Ph.D., Associate Dean for International Affairs, we were committed to identifying best practices that would elevate the quality of our medical education offerings at MDKMITL.
We also extended our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed friends at Bumrungrad International Hospital: Assoc. Prof. Taveesin Tanprayoon, M.D., Chief Medical Officer; Asst. Prof. Korpong Rookkapan, M.D., Chief Administrative Officer and Strategy Quality Advisor; and Palita Lungchukiet, M.D., Chief Executive Officer and Director of Research & Education at the Bumrungrad Personnel Development and Training Center. Their support has been invaluable to us!
As we prepared to welcome our guests, who had recently visited our Year 4 students, we were excited to showcase the warmth and clinical expertise of our faculty. We hope this visit deepened their appreciation of our school community.
