MDKMITL Visits the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine and the University of Ottawa Skills and Simulation Centre to Explore Future Collaborations
Ottawa, Canada: Friday, September 20, 2024 โ Our MDKMITL delegation led by ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ณ๐ฒ๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ป๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ธ๐ถ๐ฎ๐๐ธ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ฟ๐ป, Dean, ๐๐ฟ. ๐ฆ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ฎ ๐ฃ๐ต๐ฎ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ด, Associate Dean for International Affairs, and ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐บ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป, Associate Dean for Innovation and Research had the great honor to meet with the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine (uOMed) at the General Campus for introductory discussions for future collaborations between our two programs. We were enthusiastically greeted by ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐น๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ฝ๐๐, Vice-Dean of Undergraduate Medical Education, ๐๐ฟ. ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ธ ๐ช๐ฎ๐น๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฟ, Vice-Dean of Internationalization and Global Health, ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐น๐๐ป ๐๐ผฬ๐๐ฒฬ, Vice-Dean of Research, ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ป, Assistant Dean of Curriculum for the MD Program, and the rest of the uOttawa team who graciously opened their faculty to us for a site visit of their campus after our introductory meeting.
After the meeting at the uO Faculty of Medicine, the MDKMITL delegation were brought to the Civic Campus for a visit of the University of Ottawa Skills and Simulation Centre (uOSSC) where Mr. Kevin M. Thomas, Manager and Ms. Jennifer Dale-Tam, Sim Educator explained their lean yet optimized operations to the Thai delegation. There was a great deal of exchange and possibly some inspiration for future knowledge sharing opportunities as well.
It is the goal of MDKMITLโs Division of International Affairs to forge high-caliber partnerships with like-minded institutions and leaders in medical education to establish long-term exchange and research activities that will help enrich our students and expose them to the dynamic medical systems around the world.
