Our efforts at MDKMITL to build sturdy networks for student and researcher exchanges is getting even stronger with our latest collaboration with the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (UWGB). Our MDKMITL team including Executive Vice President for Medicine and Health Technology, Professor Prasert Trivijitsilp, M.D., Dean, Professor Anan Srikiatkhachorn, M.D., and Associate Dean for International Affairs, Dr. Sranya Phaisawang, had the extreme pleasure of traveling to and meeting with some of Wisconsin’s finest higher education and healthcare professionals.
We were greeted by Chancellor Dr. Michael Alexander and the entire UWGB team for being such wonderful hosts for our MoA signing. With our initiative to set collaborative networks with leading institutions in healthcare and medicine, we look forward to a world of exchange and research opportunities between our two great MDKMITL X UWGB.
We then went to visit Wisconsin’s leading private medical care network, Prevea Healthcare. The President and CEO, Dr. Ashok Rai was so kind enough as to discuss potential collaborations as well as gave us a tour of his innovative facilities. We are very grateful for the Prevea team and all of their great accomplishments to bring health equity and accessibility to the community.

This time, we had a chance to see the many different satellite campuses of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. We were impressed with the dedication of UWGB to offer dynamic learning ecosystems in STEM and other Biological Sciences to the community. Our tour was given by the Dean of the College of Science, Engineering, and Technology, Dr. John Katers. It was such a great chance to learn more about the UWGB system and the great communities and businesses that support the university.
We then went to HUI Manufacturing for a tour of their sheet metal operations for medical devices and learned how to cope with design-centric issues that may arise during the design and manufacturing process. Thank you again to Dr. John Katers and all the good people at HUI Manufacturing for a fun yet educational day.
Don’t forget the Cheese Curds— a staple of Wisconsin culture and heritage!
A big shout out to our gracious host for our trip, Dr. Jittapim (Nan) Yamprai, International Partnership Collaborator and the entire UWGB team!
