Starting the Year off Right with the MDKMITL PreMed Camp 2025

After a fruitful start with the Online portion of our annual MDKMITL PreMed Camp, we welcomed our latest cohort, MD08 to join us onsite at our faculty from June 11 to 13, 2025. This special MDKMITL onsite installment of the PreMed Camp is a welcoming experience designed especially for our newest first-year medical students.

With Dr. Sranya Phaisawang, Associate Dean & Director of PreMed Camp at the helm, we were pleased to have our PreMed Camp team including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fingani Mphande-Nyasulu, Dr. Paisal Peungpipattrakul, M.D., Dr. Keerati Kaewrak, Mr. Pharuj Rajborirug for their invaluable contribution. Thank you always to our MDKMITL Student Organization (SMO) who welcomed their juniors with open arms and Dr. Yada Tansiri, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and team for their assistance with operational welcoming of the students.

We would also like to thank our special guest lecturer Asst. Prof. Chaichana Nimnuan, M.D., Ph.D., from the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, who joined us once again as our honorary PreMed Camp team member. We are truly grateful to Asst. Prof. Chaichana for leading an engaging and thoughtful session titled “Understanding Class Expectations and MDKMITL Teaching Style.” His guidance helped our students gain clarity on what lies ahead and how to thrive in our academic environment. It was a meaningful opportunity for them to connect, reflect, and grow from day one.

The MDKMITL PreMed Camp plays an important role in easing our students into university life. It helped them build friendships, adapt to the new setting, and gain confidence as they prepare for the start of classes.
