Join the Human Disease & Society Short Course Elective at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay for 2 weeks from May 13-24, 2024 for a fun and exciting American university classroom experience. Covering topics that focus on the impact of diseases in humans, this special course designed exclusively for MDKMITL students of all levels emphasizes the major diseases, their causes individual effects, historical significance, and methods of control.
You’ll be able to learn from the US experts, visit and understand the sports medicine/athletic performance facilities, gain more insight on nutrition and integrated health as well as have some clinical experience at Wisconsin’s premier healthcare system, Prevea Healthcare.
This 2-week learning opportunity will put you right in the heart of campus life in the summer and present you with chances to visit local sites for a well-rounded study abroad experience.
Elective Details:
Human Disease & Society Short Course Elective Price: $2,000.
(This price includes tuition, housing, meals, transportation and other US Visa processing fees. It does not include airfare).

Q1. How do the course credits work?
A1. The Human Disease & Society short elective course will be listed in the MDKMITL Elective Catalogue in which students will register on the MDKMITL side and join the course provided by UWGB, which will have the same corresponding elective listed. Since this is a special arrangement between our 2 institutions, the course credits will be transferred after the grading is completed.
Q2. How are we graded for the Human Disease & Society short elective course?
A2. Topic quizzes and participation will be used to measure performance over the 2-week period. The cumulative points will then be converted into Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory grading.
Q3. Does the Human Disease & Society short elective course count toward elective fulfillment later on in my studies?
A3. Absolutely, the Human Disease & Society short elective course will be counted as a free elective course at MDKMITL.
