Today was the second installment of The National Health Professional Education Foundation visit for 2023. The dynamic group of health professionals in Thailand was led by Professor Pongsak Wannakrairot, M.D., who is at the forefront of leadership development in Thai medical education.
The day’s event began with an informative session by our visionary Dean, Professor Anan Srikiatkhachorn, M.D. and then we had a panel discussion with our MDKMITL young staff. We then headed over to the King Mongkut’s Innovation and Digital Center (KIDC) where we met Executive Vice President for Innovation and Research, Dr. Rutchanee Gullayanon. There, the amazing KIDC team showed our visitors the latest technologies that help enhance the new-generation learning and medical education—a great experience for all.
We then came back to have a short panel discussion with our Year 3 students where they shared their inspiration and motivation as young medical students at MDKMITL. Of course, we also presented our latest project, the KMC Hospital. Executive Vice President for Health Sciences, Professor Prasert Trivijitsilp, M.D., was on hand to bring the group through our journey to construct Thailand’s premier geriatric and palliative care hospital. The final Q&A session allowed everyone to share their ideas and learn the “behind the scenes” from our Deans.
We are always happy and honored to host our special guests and look forward to what the future holds.
