Honouring Our Teachers, Celebrating Our Future Physicians
On Thursday, 16 July 2026, the Faculty of Medicine, KMITL held the Teacher Appreciation Ceremony, White Coat Ceremony for Year 2 Medical Students, and Annual Awards Ceremony for the Academic Year 2026.
The day began with the Teacher Appreciation Ceremony, where students expressed their gratitude and respect to the faculty members who have guided them throughout their journey in medical education.
A highlight of the event was the White Coat Ceremony, marking an important milestone as second-year medical students officially received their white coats and pledged their commitment to professionalism, compassion, and ethical medical practice. The students also received words of encouragement from Professor Somchai Tanawattanacharoen, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, as they embark on the next stage of their medical training.
The ceremony concluded with the Annual Awards Ceremony, recognizing outstanding faculty members and students for their excellence in academics, research, leadership, extracurricular achievements, and contributions to the Faculty of Medicine.
Congratulations to all award recipients and Year 2 students on this significant milestone. May the white coat serve as a lasting reminder of your dedication to knowledge, integrity, and compassionate patient care.
A white coat is more than a uniform. It is a symbol of responsibility, professionalism, and the lifelong commitment to serve humanity.
