Learning From Global Leadership: An Exclusive Lecture by Mr. Frank Le, Counsellor and Senior Trade Commissioner from the Embassy of Canada to Thailand
On Monday, 9 March, the Faculty of Medicine at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Frank Le, Counsellor and Senior Trade Commissioner from the Embassy of Canada to Thailand, as a special guest lecturer for our students.
Drawing from his extensive experience as a diplomat, Mr. Le shared insights from his career working across cultures, industries, and international partnerships. His discussion offered students a rare glimpse into the world of diplomacy and global collaboration, highlighting how leadership, communication, and adaptability shape successful careers in today’s interconnected world.
What made the session particularly meaningful was the dialogue between Mr. Le and our students. He took the time to listen to their ideas, ask thoughtful questions, and encourage them to think broadly about their future roles as professionals in a rapidly changing global landscape.
One message resonated strongly throughout the conversation: while the world continues to evolve, humanity must remain at the center of everything we do. Mr. Le reminded students that meaningful careers are built not only on knowledge and achievement, but also on curiosity, empathy, and the courage to learn from people who come from different backgrounds and perspectives.
For our future doctors, this lesson is invaluable. Medicine is not only about science and technology. It is about understanding people and building connections that transcend borders.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Frank Le for sharing his time, experience, and wisdom with the MDKMITL community.
