On January 17th, 2025, MDKMITL had the privilege of joining the Canada-Thailand roundtable on Innovation in Postgraduate Medical (PGME), a groundbreaking collaboration between Thai medical institutions and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
On January 14, 2025, we had the pleasure of hosting our esteemed guests for a visit to the Clinical Class at Sirindhorn Hospital. This enlightening experience was led by Professor Anan Srikiatkhachorn, M.D., the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL). He was accompanied by other distinguished contributors, including Professor Thanyaphong Na Nakorn, M.D., Ph.D., and Sranya Phaisawang, Ph.D., who serves as the Associate Dean for International Affairs. Their combined expertise greatly enhanced the value of this visit, providing insights into the training and educational experiences available at our institution.
On Monday, January 13, 2025, we were thrilled to welcome a distinguished delegation from the Royal College Canada International (RCCI). This esteemed group was led by Tai Telesco, Vice Director of Development & Advancement at RCCI, alongside Associate Professor Alan Chaput, M.D., Vice Dean of the Undergraduate Medical Program at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa, at our MDKMITL building.
On January 7, 2025, the Year 4 White Coat Ceremony marked an important step for our international medical students as they transition to their clinical training years. This time-honored tradition was held at Sirindhorn Hospital. The Chairperson of the event was Dr. Kutcharin Jiamsripong, Deputy Director General of Medical Service Department, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), and representing our clinical training partner hospitals were Dr. Adisorn Vittangkrun, Director of Sirindhorn Hospital and Dr. Thitikarn Laohasurayothin, Director of Nakharaphiban Hospital.
We are thrilled to celebrate the success of MDKMITL’s outstanding students who showcased their exceptional research and innovative ideas at the International Medical Student Research Conference (IMRC) 2024, held at the Phramongkutklao College of Medicine on December 7-8, 2024.
On November 28, 2024, MDKMITL organized a community health initiative aimed at empowering the residents and surrounding community of the Khlong Khuean District to prevent cardiovascular diseases and strokes. Participants underwent preliminary health screenings to help identify and prevent early symptoms of these conditions.
On November 26, 2024, the Faculty of Medicine at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (MDKMITL), led by our Dean, Professor Dr. Anan Srikiatkhachorn, is partnering with Bangchak Corporation, CMKL University, and the King Mongkut Chaokhunthahan Hospital Foundation to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the soon to be opened KMC Hospital.
On November 23, 2024, MDKMITL proudly participated in Society of Medical Students of Thailand (SMST) Open House 2024 at the Airport Link Makkasan Station, 3rd Floor., connecting with high school students and parents from across the country. We showcased our innovative program and shared the values that make our international medical faculty unique, inspiring aspiring future physicians to join us on their journey to success.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all esteemed guests and prospective students who joined us at this year’s MDKMITL Open House. It was an honor to welcome everyone interested in exploring our international medical program, and we truly enjoyed opening our doors to future healthcare leaders.
On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, MDKMITL held its 2nd Annual Sports Day for all students and staff. This was a great opportunity to reconnect with our students from Years 1-4 in a fun and highly competitive environment. With 5 teams designated by their House Mascots, we had the Grizzlies, Orcas, Broncos, Eagles and Wolves, coming together to partake in the day’s sporting activities.
