Thanks for the OTIPE Memories!
Over the past 12 weeks, our students from MDKMITL and students from the Faculty of Architecture, Art and Design (AAD) worked alongside Singapore Polytechnic (SP) students and staff to understand more about patient-centered design for healthcare settings.
The online workshops and live healthcare personnel interviews gave these young innovators great insight on universal design and design thinking for more effective and efficient ways to make healthcare in Thailand more accessible for all.
Our Thai students visited Singapore last week and this week, we had a chance to host our Singaporean friends at KMITL for a 2-day workshop and final presentations for their group projects.
Everything went very well for our inaugural OTIPE course and we are looking forward to continuing on with helping our young and talented students from both KMITL and SP to incorporate design thinking into their daily lives. This new approach for our medical students really opened their eyes and minds to work with others, for the betterment of our society.
On behalf of MDKMITL, we would like to thank all of our wonderful friends from SP including Goh Siak Koon, Soo Yin Tang, Teoh Swee Bing, Kenneth Tan; and of course our two Deans, Professor Anan and Professor Antika along with Dr. Anawat, Dr. Pae, Dr. Buap, Dr. Sranya and all of the instructors from both faculties at KMITL for all their great help and contributions to making this course a success.
We hope to see you in the near future for our next course together!
