Y1 Excursion to the National Blood Centre and the Snake Farm (QSMI)
Today, our Y1 students took another field trip to the Thai Red Cross Society to learn more about blood donations and snake venoms/anti-venom serums at the National Blood Centre and the Snake Farm at the Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute (QSMI) in Bangkok. The day was filled with knowledge and hands-on experiences to prime the student’s understanding outside of the classroom. As an annual event, MDKMITL are always finding ways to expose our students to different areas of healthcare and health institutions that are dedicated to helping save lives for all mankind.
The day ended with a visit to the snake show where our students got to see real live snakes in person. They even got to pose with the star of the show, the Yellow Burmese Python!
On behalf of MDKMITL, we’d like to thank everyone at the National Blood Centre and the Snake Farm at the QSMI for their kindness and hospitality. We’re looking forward to see you again next year!
