World Culture Trip 2026 – Day 1

Day 1 | Cultural Foundations and Thai Heritage

MDKMITL Year 1 students embarked on the World Culture academic field trip, designed to strengthen cultural literacy, historical awareness, and interdisciplinary learning beyond the classroom.

The journey began in Nakhon Pathom with an in depth exploration of the Phra Pathom Chedi National Museum and a visit to Phra Pathom Chedi, reflecting the historical and religious foundations of Thai civilization. Students examined the evolution of Dvaravati culture and its influence on regional development.

The program continued at Wat Khanon to study the Nang Yai Shadow Puppet Museum, where students observed how visual arts, performance, literature, and music converge into a unified cultural expression.

The day concluded in Kanchanaburi, setting the stage for deeper engagement with regional history.
Through direct exposure to heritage sites, students developed contextual understanding of culture as a dynamic force shaping society and identity.
