From Vision to Reality: Honoring the Founding Chapter of MDKMITL
When the Faculty of Medicine at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (MDKMITL) was first established, it carried with it an ambitious and untested dream to create Thailand’s first international medical program rooted in innovation, global standards, and a commitment to human-centered healthcare.
At the heart of that mission was Professor Anan Srikiatkhachorn, M.D., our founding Dean, who brought not only deep academic and clinical experience but a rare clarity of purpose. Under his leadership, MDKMITL grew from concept to reality by developing an international curriculum, securing hospital partnerships, building a dedicated faculty team, and welcoming our first cohort of medical students.
The founding phase was not without challenges, but Professor Anan led with integrity, resilience, and vision. His unwavering focus on excellence has shaped the culture of MDKMITL, one built on innovation, academic rigor, and the responsibility to care.
As we enter a new chapter, we reflect with deep gratitude on these beginnings and the bold steps it took to make them happen.
