Day 3 | Reflection and Global Awareness
On the final day, students visited the Bridge over the River Kwai and the Skywalk in Kanchanaburi, key landmarks linked to World War II and the Thailand Burma Railway.
Day 2 focused on archaeology, transnational history, and the complexity of Southeast Asian civilization.
At Mueang Sing Historical Park, students analyzed Khmer influenced architecture and examined the regional connections of Mahayana Buddhism during the reign of Jayavarman VII.
Day 1 | Cultural Foundations and Thai Heritage
MDKMITL Year 1 students embarked on the World Culture academic field trip, designed to strengthen cultural literacy, historical awareness, and interdisciplinary learning beyond the classroom.
MDKMITL convened its Strategic Retreat to align leadership, sharpen direction, and translate vision into action.
Over two intensive days, faculty leaders and department representatives worked collaboratively to review our vision, mission, and core values, and to critically assess our strategic landscape.

What feels like yesterday, we proudly sent off our first cohort. Today, we are honored to witness the graduation of MD02, a group that has grown, persevered, and proven themselves through six demanding years of medical training. We would also like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Professor Emeritus Khunying Kobchitt Limpaphayom, MD, on receiving an honorary doctorate degree.
