A Warm Welcome to Our Contract Signing and Orientation Day 2024
A Warm Welcome to Our Contract Signing and Orientation Day 2024
On June 24th, 2024, we welcomed our new international medical students and their parents. The morning began with a contract signing ceremony, marking the start of their journey with us, followed by meetings with house advisors. These advisors will guide and support the students, discussing academic goals and easing their transition into the program. This session underscores our commitment to a supportive and collaborative environment.
The orientation event began with a warm welcome address for the new students delivered by Prof. Anan Srikiatkhachorn, M.D., the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at KMITL. Following this, Asst. Prof. Thanyaphong Na Nakorn, M.D., Ph.D., introduced the curriculum and provided an overview of the academic structure and teaching methods of our faculty.
We also organized a brief orientation session to help students become familiar with life on campus and to introduce them to the various facilities available at the institution. This session was conducted by Year 4 students Pirimook, President of MDKMITL SMO, and Sirin, Vice President for External Affairs, MDKMITL SMO, from the MDKMITL Student Management Office (SMO).
Our MDKMITL program is driven by a strong vision to foster a new generation of international medical students. Our goal extends beyond training competent doctors; we aim to cultivate well-rounded professionals. We emphasize the development of robust professional and research skills, alongside essential 21st-century abilities such as communication and collaboration. This comprehensive approach equips our students to become internationalized doctors—physicians with a global perspective who are prepared to serve our community effectively. The dedication and skills our students acquire here promise a future of significant contributions to the healthcare landscape.
